Of course you have a love story. She's never in any danger and even though it's obvious she isn't going to die, she never felt close to dying at any point throughout this book, even though many people want her dead. Using the fantasy genre as a springboard for many deeper themes as well, she has taken it to another level allowing it to say something a lot more profound and in-depth about her view and outlook on life. It's not really surprising what people would do to stay in power. I have a few theories on where this story is going and will absolutely be continuing this series when the next one is released.
